Lina Ahmed is a distinguished professional with a Master’s degree in Medical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London (2013) and an MBA in Healthcare Management from Wrexham Glyndŵr University, Wales, UK (2022). Her career reflects a unique blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and business acumen in the healthcare and research sectors.
Lina began her career Nuffield Health center, UK as technician and then moved to Samasu Medical & Educational Services in Sudan, one of the country’s largest companies in the medical device industry. As Operations Supervisor for Imaging Diagnostic Department (GE Healthcare), she successfully closed multi-million-dollar projects and tenders, driving growth and strengthening the company’s position in the regional healthcare market. Her leadership and strategic insight were instrumental in ensuring operational excellence and long-term client satisfaction.
In 2021, Lina joined QuantLase Laboratory, where she initially served as a Service Application Engineer for the lab’s Diffractive Phase Interferometry (DPI) device—a groundbreaking innovation deployed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Leading the operations and regulatory efforts for this pioneering technology, Lina was part of a dedicated team that achieved extraordinary outcomes: over seven million people tested, more than one billion dirhams in revenue generated, and, most importantly, a vital role in safely reopening the UAE’s economy.

Building on that success, Lina advanced to the role of Business Development Manager at QuantLase Research & Development Center. In this capacity, she collaborates closely with research institutes, hospitals, and universities to strengthen the lab’s research and innovation capabilities. Her responsibilities include overseeing regulatory approvals and certifications, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, and designing targeted advertising strategies and marketing plans that elevate the lab’s brand visibility and foster the growth of its research operations.
Constantly exploring opportunities for expansion, Lina remains actively engaged in conferences and collaborations, particularly in the areas of water desalination, green energy, and advanced laboratory technologies. Her proactive networking and strategic planning play a central role in shaping QuantLase’s path toward sustainable growth, international partnerships, and innovation-driven success.
